Water Preliminary Engineering Report (PER)
The GCCWSD Board is currently preparing a Water PER to evaluate existing private water system infrastructure, community needs, and potential for comprehensive water solutions. This PER will become a planning document that can be used to apply for public funding if the GCCWSD chooses to pursue a centralized system. A special board meeting was held on May 30th, 2024, to provide an overview of current findings and to gather public feedback for incorporation into the report. A second water PER-focused meeting was held on August 27, 2025, to present the recommended design and proposed next steps as well as gather further public input.
To review the draft PER, please click here. If you have any questions or would like to provide public comment, please reach out to: gallatincanyonwsd@gmail.com
The PER recommends the phased creation of a central water system in the GCCWSD to allow for improved drinking water quality and reliability, fire protection, and water conservation.
The PER is now pending review and approval by the board.
Public comments are still welcomed and encouraged!
What were some of the recommendations from the PER?
The proposed project would connect existing large water systems and expand service to areas currently on individual wells.
